I am a local girl, who from school qualified as a hairdresser, gaining my City & Guilds & NVQ, working my way up to manageress level in a salon. I always had an ambition to work in film and television as a hair and make-up artist & after a year out living in America to gain some life experience I returned and set about training.
I trained at a professional make-up school in London called Greasepaint, gaining certificates In all areas of TV, film, theatre, photographic, prosthetics & special effects make-up.
I moved to London permanently to pursue my career and eventually after some very hard work, I have now sustained a successful career & reputation in the industry for the past 20yrs as a hair & make-up artist/supervisor. I have worked on a variety of productions such as Casualty, Holby City, Waking The Dead, Spooks, Whiteheat, Anna Karenina, World War Z, to name but a few!
Four years ago I decided to return to my roots in Devon to enjoy the beauty of the south coast once again. I still work in London, as well as in the South West, as it keeps the variety of work that I do fresh & challenging, which is the part I most enjoy.
